To Write Love on Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery. We’d like to invite you to join us for the 7th Annual Run For It 5k. The Run For It 5k is an opportunity to move for something that matters—whether that’s for health, recovery, or in memory of a loved one. We hope it will also be a chance to connect with your local community and share the message of hope and help. In addition to the physical race, thousands of people across the country will be running as virtual runners as well! No matter what you’re running for, there is a purpose behind every step. Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Triathlon Sunday, April 14 Location: Adjacent to the Cocoa Beach Country Club

The Ron Jon Cocoa Beach Triathlon has established itself as a fun and challenging event and as one of Coastal Florida’s favorite early season triathlons. The event draws a good mixture of Floridians and triathletes from more northern states anxious to escape the cold and get in a springtime race. It is an enjoyable one for established athletes, but has proven itself as a great test for first time triathletes. The event has twice been a “Best First Timer’s Race” national

finalist in the Triathlon Business International annual awards. It begins with a .25 mile swim, a 12.5 mile bike, and a run back to the finish line adjacent to the Country Club. Event medals and a post-race awards party with live music and lots of food and drink await all finishers.

Farmers market with local fresh foods featuring the addition of many vegan food vendors & food trucks. Delicious food and baked goods for everyone. Playground, walking paths and free yoga at 10am, river views.

15th Annual Fiesta Brevard Friday, April 26; 5-8p Location: Riverfront Park, Cocoa Village

Join your neighbors, friends and colleagues for this perennial favorite! You’ll have a great time, and make a difference for these community organizations and those they serve!The 15th Annual Fiesta Brevard festivities will include live entertainment with Latin music, salsa dancing, games, drawings, raffles, a salsa contest, Fiesta hat parade and contest, lots of food and more! Tickets are available for $5.00 in advance, or $10.00 at the door.

35th Melbourne Art Festival Saturday-Sunday, April 27; 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Location: Wickham Park

The 35th Annual Melbourne Art Festival will be held among the trees and ponds at beautiful Wickham Park in Melbourne, FL April 27 & 28, 2019. The much-loved annual festival, which draws tens of thousands of art and music lovers, is a vibrant family friendly event that promotes and encourages artistic endeavors, education and appreciation of the arts in Brevard County. The yearly non-profit festival, which is run completely by volunteers, features over 200 artists, live music, the Flamingo 5K Run, KidsWorld, sponsor displays, VIP Patrons tent, and diverse food options in a serine park setting with plenty of parking. The Melbourne Art Festival offers FREE admission, FREE parking, FREE childrens art projects and FREE live entertainment throughout the weekend.

Cocoa Beach Uncorked Saturday-Sunday, April 27-28; 12-4p Location: Alan Shepard Park

Cocoa Beach Uncorked is an exciting two-day celebration of food, wine and craft beer on the sandy shores of Florida’s Space Coast. The festival will once again take place at Alan Shepard Park in Cocoa Beach, a popular spot for viewing space launches and surfing icons. A celebration of Central Florida’s most renowned chefs, restaurants, and breweries, Cocoa Beach Uncorked is a culinary showcase served with stellar Atlantic Ocean views.
