What’s the best part of the job? The worst?

The best part of my job is all the people I work with. Even on tough shifts they always know how to cheer me up. The worst part is losing a beloved regular.

What is your drink of choice?

I love the Tropical Margaritas we make at Florida’s Seafood.

Can you recommend a hangover cure?

Pedialyte before bed and again in the morning.

Most overrated / underrated drink?

I think the Bloody Mary’s that are jam packed with “toppings” are overrated. I love a nice drink; I don’t want one filled with cheeseburgers and pizza. I think an underrated drink is a Martini. It is easily customizable to the guest and still takes technique to make.

What the funniest pickup line you’ve overheard while on the job?

“Did you just come out of the oven? Because you’re hot!”

Favorite perks of being a bartender?

Flexible hours and you never know what your night will hold.

What is a sexy, romantic drink to order this month?

I like the Mermaid Kiss at Florida’s Seafood. It is a twist on a Pina Colada and is garnished with fresh strawberries.

What would you order for you last meal?

Filet and Snow Crab legs!

What is number one on your bucket list?

I would love to check a few more European countries off my Bucket List. I love to travel and experience new cultures!

What’s the strangest thing to happen while on the job?

At my first bartending job, I once had someone call me and ask if he could purchase my socks.

What have you drank so much of you swear you’d never drink again? Fireball

If you could serve any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you serve them?

I would love to have Marilyn Monroe at my bar. She is a classic beauty and I would love to make her a drink and listen to her stories. I would make her a Bellini.

What is your biggest pet peeve while tending bar?

When I am washing dishes or really focused on what the servers need at service bar, people telling me that I should smile more.

Who are the best tippers? Anyone in the service industry! We look out for each other.

Words of wisdom?

Whenever I am training a new bartender, I always tell them “When you get slammed, just push forward and keep making drinks, it wont last forever”. I feel like this is also good to remember in life. When you are getting slammed and you get frustrated, just push forward. The bad times don’t last forever.
